Rocket launches today — FAQ
Is there a rocket launch today?
Launch schedules change daily, so it depends on the date. This page lists the launches scheduled today as of the latest update. For a live answer specific to where you are, enter your ZIP code or city in the finder — it shows only the launches you could actually see today.
What time is the launch today?
Each launch above shows its time in UTC, US Eastern and US Pacific. Launch times slip often — for weather, upper-level winds or technical holds — so treat the listed time as a target and re-check the live countdown an hour or two before the window.
How do I know if a launch is visible from my location today?
It depends on your distance from the pad, the rocket's trajectory, and whether it is a day, twilight or night launch. Night and twilight launches carry the farthest — sometimes 500+ miles. Enter your location in the finder to see which of today's launches clear your horizon and which way to face.
Are night launches easier to see?
Yes. After dark the engine exhaust glows brightly against the sky, and a twilight launch — sunlit plume against a dark sky — can be visible for hundreds of miles. Daytime launches are only easy to see relatively close to the pad.
